Textual Analysis of Music Videos

Working on the editing

During lesson time I am dedicated in working my hardest whilst editing the video. I believe myself and the group have put in a lot of effort with the editing as well work with the Digi-pack and the Magazine cover.

Progression in our editing of the Music Video

This would be the shot we had used to myself in one scene where I lip sync
parts of the song, but we didn't edit YET!

Now this is the edited version where we have removed the green screen and tried to look at different backgrounds we could possibly use.

This would be another scene of the myself reminiscing. We haven't edited yet but as you can see below, the edited version really gives you the feel of something in the past and not present time.

This would be the edited version of the reminiscing scene.

In this scene of myself at the London Underground, we all decided it would be ideal to use quick flash and spin effects to really add some creativity and spark to the music video.

Magazine Research/Analysis

I've been doing some research on magazines and trying to look and take examples. I believe this kind of magazine style would fit our genre simply because it doesn't really stand out and is basically casual. Looking at the artist, Trey Songz, he makes the kind of music that our music fits into, R'n'B genre. Not only will that help make the decision easier, the magazine is signifies everything that would fit into the R'n'B genre.
